Families First Society is pleased to announce the launch of our Single Session Counselling service for individuals! Services will be provided by Danny Batraki, a Registered Provisional Psychologist, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (Tuesdays 9am-1pm / Thursdays 10am-2pm). These sessions are intended for one-time use and are designed to address single, workable concerns (50 minute session). This counselling service is available to adults who are 18+ years. We can support with: Strategies to solve a specific problem Help coping with a challenging situation Seeking more services/programs in the community/region Please note: we are unable to assist with items relating to legal concerns, active psychosis, active suicide, and addiction. Sessions are done in person at the Families First Society and can be booked directly through the web (Add a waitlist request) or by calling Families First at 780-998-5595. All clients MUST complete the intake and consent form BEFORE any counselling can begin. The form will be emailed after a session is requested. Society membership provides the opportunity for you to participate in decisions made at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) as well as at any special meetings called by the Board of Directors. It also provides the opportunity for your name to stand for potential election as a member of the Board of Directors ( FFS Membership Policy ). The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program Teacher Training Workshop will review the philosophy, organizational plan, materials, and methods of the program. Training Days: Tuesday, April 1, 2025 and Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Location: Families First Society, 9901 90 Street in Fort Saskatchewan Training Cost: $250.00/person (lunch provided both days). The Helping Hands Fund

Life can sometimes throw curveballs our way and finding the needed resources can be a challenge. The Helping Hands Fund is a limited pool of funding, which is available to residents of Fort Saskatchewan, to provide support when all other avenues of resources have been exhausted.
